North Jersey Resources Corporation held a meeting of its Board of Directors today to determine the response to a merger bid by MTH EnerCorp (MTHE). The board soundly voted against the merger bid and stated that it has no interest in becoming a part of MTH EnerCorp and would appreciate if the company ceased any further merger proposals. MTH EnerCorp responded by immediately petitioning the State of New Jersey to elect a new Board of Directors for the state-run entity.
